SINOPSE :-
Quarenta anos da história dos Estados Unidos, vistos pelos olhos de Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks), um rapaz com QI abaixo da média e boas intenções. Por obra do acaso, ele consegue participar de momentos cruciais, como a Guerra do Vietnã e Watergate, mas continua pensando no seu amor de infância, Jenny Curran.
CURIOSIDADES :-
– Ao receber o Oscar de melhor ator por Forrest Gump, Tom Hanks igualou a marca de Spencer Tracy, que até então era o único ator a ter ganho o Oscar por dois anos consecutivos.
– Com apenas 5 anos de idade e uma ponta já no final do filme aparece Haley Joel Osment, que, 6 anos depois, seria indicado ao Oscar de Melhor Ator Coadjuvante, por sua atuação em O Sexto Sentido.
– Este é o 1º de 2 filmes em que o diretor Robert Zemeckis e o ator Tom Hanks trabalharam juntos. O posterior foi Náufrago (2000).
